Wednesday June 6, 2012 - Day #26 I think

Yesterday we walked along the water to shops at the mall where we are staying.  Looks a little like walking in downtown Disneyland.  Of course Lester had to go to Bass Pro.  Then yesterday afternoon we went to the Shepard of the Hills and took the Historic Homestead Tour visiting Old Matt's Homestead.  Our tour guide was fantastic and  very knowledge.  Along the tour we passed the Baldknobers still and was held up by the Sheriff.  They were going to arrest all of us but chose me of all people on the tour to blow up the still.

After the tour we went to a dinner show at 4:30 pm and listened to the Sons of the Pioneers.  It was about a two hour tour and was very good.  After the dinner show we went to the Old Mill Theatre which was an outdoor theatre when we saw the story of The Shepard of the Hills.  All in all it was a very fun packed evening.  The play was approximately 2 hours long also.  Here is just a few pictures of our adventure.  Will post more later.

This restaurant is on the water.  We are on the bridge and they serve aligator.

This bear is outside Bass Pro

There were samples inside the Pepper Palace and we were told which one was the hottest but Lester & Roger just had to try it and I think they were sorry afterwards.
Shepard of the Hills where we spent our afternoon and evening

The chuckwagon outside the dinner hall
Stacy sang at the dinner show and thought Lester needed black hair.  Guess she felt sorry for him because he is bald.

The Sheriff who took me off the tram and had me blow up the still.

They tried to catch us but we got away.
